Is there a hell or do we create our own?

I heard this from a book once and it got me thinking, with all the pain and devastation people cause themselves and others, do we make our own hell? I'm sure 9/10 people alive would tell you life's a real ***** and the other ones are insane Jk. But if you were supposed to pay in hell, why is life so much like it? Plus I guess if u wanted to use evidence of the bible, all sins are forgiven in the end so why would u still pay for them at the end? What do u think? Since there is no physical proof, please don't simply use the bible to argue your point, use your own logic. Also please remember to be respectful, everybody's opinion matters.
