Am I EV training my pokemon right? (Pokemon White Version)?

So I'm EV training for the first time ever and what better pokemon to start it out with but none other than Axew. So far I have him at lvl.34 and his attack stat is a whooping 104. He's adamant and I've infected him with Pokerus and I equipped him with a power bracer. I've been battling pokemon who give out purely attack EV's so I feel like I have been following the steps, but I want to make sure. Can anyone give me a feed back if I'm doing this EV training stuff right, it would be much appreciated.
